Abstract: Assimilation

Towards Free, and Leaves Conditional. Assimilation can be given to prisoners
who have been qualified: good behavior, actively participating in the coaching
program, has undergone ½ (one half) criminal past. The problems 1) How
Assimilation Implementation of Prisoners in Penitentiary Class II A Padang? 2)
Are the constraints in the implementation of Assimilation in Penitentiary Class
II A Padang? This type of research used in this research is a socio legal
research. Source of data used primary data and secondary data. . The technique
of data collection is interviews and study documents. The data were analyzed
qualitatively. Conclusion The research results 1) Implementation of the
assimilation of inmates at the Correctional Institution Class II A Padang
divided into two: the assimilation of outside walls and assimilation within the
walls. Terms implementation of assimilation, namely prisoners who have
undergone ½ to 2/3 of its criminal past. 2) Constraints in the implementation
of assimilation in Penitentiary Class II A Padang is a lack of personnel and
human resources at the Penitentiary Class II A Padang and the absence of
experts in the field are required inmates in the program implementation
assimilation.
