PERSEPSI POLA ASUH IBU YANG BEKERJA DAN ASERTIVITAS SISWA
Abstract: Teens were required
to have the ability to convey their feelings in firm, honest and forthright in
order to successfully build a social relationship with the environment which
meant that teenagers should have assertive attitude. Several previous studies
had said that the perception of parenting have an influence in developing the
assertive behavior in teenagers. This study aimed to determine the relationship
perception of working mothers with student’s assertive behavior in SMKN I Depok
Sleman, Yogyakarta. This research was a quantitative correlation, subject in this
experiment were 75 students of SMK I Depok Sleman Yogyakarta, in the category
of middle adolescents between 15-18 years old. Subjects selected by simple
random sampling technique. Data collected through measurement tools such as
assertiveness scale and parenting perception scale of working mother made by
researchers. Assertive scale had value of (α) .710 with 31 valid itemsand
parenting perception scale of working mothers with (α) = 0.765 and 37 valid
items. FromPearson product moment correlation technique data analysis gained
the result of sig (p) 0,008; (P <0.05). It meant that there was a positive
relationship between parenting perception of working mothers with student’s
assertiveness in SMKN I Depok Sleman, Yogyakarta.
