KEMATANGAN KARIR DITINJAU DARI LOCUS OF CONTROL INTERNAL DAN USIA PADA MAHASISWA PSIKOLOGI UNIVERSITAS ISLAM NEGERI (UIN) SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA
Abstract: This study is aimed
to determine the relationship between internal locus of control with career
maturity on student of Psychology Islamic State University and to determine
difference career maturity between student on 8th semester and 2nd semester.
The subjects were student of Psychology Islamic State University Sunan Kalijaga
Yogyakarta totalled 70 people, consist of 35 students on 8th semester and 35
students on 2nd semester. The sampling technique in this research using
purposive sampling technique. Data collection methode used is the scale of
internal locus of control and career maturity scale. Data analysis was done by
using product moment correlation and independent sample t-test. The result
showed that : 1. There is a significant positive relationship between internal
locus of control with career maturity on student of Psychology State Islamic
University, this is shown with correlation coefficient rxy = 0,809 with p
=0,000, so concluded that the first hipothesis is accepted. 2. There isn’t
difference career maturity between student of Psychology on 8th semester and
2nd semester, this shown that value of t = 1,449 with p = 0,152, so concluded
that the second hipothesys is rejected. 3. Internal locus of control
contributes to career maturity amounted to 65,4 %, shown with R square = 0,654.
