“HARMONIS DALAM PERBEDAAN” SEBAGAI MODUL EVALUASI DIRI DAN PREVENSI KONFLIK PADA PASANGAN SUAMI-ISTRI BEKERJA
Abstract: The lack of
interaction was one of the consequences faced by working couples and conflict
experienced in the office can be carried on the pairing interaction at home and
vice versa. "Harmony in Diversity" provided that the working couple
could monitor themselves and know when they had the potential to conflict with
their partner. The purpose of research was to describe and measure the
effectiveness of "Harmony in Diversity" as a self-evaluation module
and the prevention of conflicts in working couple. Subjects were working
spouses of 4 pairs (the experimental group and the control group) under 5 years
old married age and work full time outside. Measurements were made with Gottman
The Four Horsemen, self-monitoring weekly conflictsfrequency, and The Day
Reconstruction Method (DRM). Analysis was made by comparing scores both groups
before and after the study was done with the Mann-Whitney t-test by calculated
the gain score (change in value). The results showed that "Harmony in
Diversity" did not reduce the intensity of marital conflict (z = -1076, p
= 0282) and did not significantly increase the subjective well-being (z =
-1316, p = 0188) of working pair. However, the module was able to function as
self-evaluation module based on interviews and indicated by marital conflicts
frequency decreased in the experimental group.
