Abstract: Title of thesis
Diplomacy Government of Indonesia to formalize Wayang Kulit as Indonesia's
cultural heritage to UNESCO under the guidance of Mrs. Prof. Dr. Hj. Nur

Mulawarman 2016. This study aimed to describe efforts by the Indonesian
Government to formalize the Wayang Kulit As Indonesian Cultural Heritage
recognized by UNESCO. This type of research is descriptive research which aims
to explain the steps the government and relevant parties in an attempt to
receive recognition from UNESCO . The type of data used is secondary data
sourced from books , magazines , newspapers and various other electronic media
(internet ) . The data collection technique used is the study of literature.
The results showed the efforts by the Indonesian government in making Wayang
Kulit as a cultural heritage of Indonesia results. This is evidenced by the
recognition as well as the submission of the charter of UNESCO who declared
wayang kulit Indonesia as “a Masterpiece of the Oral and Heritage of Humanit”
in 2003.
