PERANAN KEPOLISIAN DALAM PENERTIBAN MINUMAN KERAS DI KOTA PADANG (Studi Di Polresta Padang)
ABSTRACT: Liquor is not an
item that is traded freely, the circulation of liquor is regulated by the
government, but in fact a lot of liquor has been circulating in the community
without permission, which as a result of this liquor can cause interference
with public safety, order, and moral decline or health even cause death.
Excessive alcohol consumption affects a very large on the attitudes and actions
that lead to the perpetrators of acts that harm themselves or harm others, as
set forth in Padang Regional Regulation No. 8 of 2012. The role of police is
needed to control, monitor and crack down on the use and circulation of liquor
explicitly, in order to provide a deterrent effect. Issues raised: 1) What is
the role of the police in curbing liquor in Padang? 2) Are the constraints
encountered the police in curbing liquor in Padang? This study of juridical
sociological. The data used primary data obtained from interviews and secondary
data obtained from a study document in Padang police. The data were analyzed qualitatively.
Research are: 1) The role of the police in curbing liquor in the city of Padang
is conducting outreach to the community, organize the operation and routine
patrols, as well as capturing and impose sanctions. 2) Obstacles encountered
the police in curbing liquor is a lack of personnel, lack of education and lack
of public awareness of the violation.
