PENEGAKAN HUKUM OLEH KEPOLISIAN TERHADAP KEJAHATAN ILLEGAL LOGGING DI KABUPATEN MUARA BUNGO (Studi Kasus: Polres Bungo)

Abstract: Enforcement by the police under Article 2 of Law # 2 of 2002 on police and law enforcement against illegal logging action stipulated in Law No. 41 of 1999 and Law No. 18 of 2013 on the Prevention and Eradication of forest destruction. Illegal logging crimes (illegal logging) frequently occur in areas or small cities that have extensive forest areas, one example is the district of Muara Bungo Province Data Jambi.Berdasarkan illegal logging cases handled by the police Resort Muara Bungo Criminal Research Department in 2010 totaling 21 cases related to illegal logging. The problem in this research are: 1) How does law enforcement efforts undertaken by the police against the perpetrators of illegal logging activities in the county Muara Bungo, 2) Are the constraints faced by the police in enforcing the law against the perpetrators of the crime of illegal logging in Muara Bungo. This study using sociological juridical approach and data sources and data in the form of primary data obtained through interviews and sekunder.Data dokumen.Data study analyzed qualitatively. From the study it can be concluded that: Law enforcement by the police against the crime of illegal logging in Muara Bungo, namely, to investigate, arrest and detention of the perpetrators and conduct seizure of evidence, adding forest monitoring system. constraints faced by the police in law enforcement, namely, distant location of the forest, the lack of access roads to the forest area.
