PEMBERIAN LABEL HALAL PADA PERUSAHAAN KERIPIK BALADO CHRISTINE HAKIM OLEH MAJELIS ULAMA INDONESIA (MUI) PROVINSI SUMATERA BARAT

Abstract: Each manufacturers are responsible to fulfill the rights of their consumers, including Muslim consumers. Halal producting is part of the companies responsibility to their Muslim customers. Products in the market should be labeled halal, so  that Muslim customers believe the product is legal to be consumed. Keripik Balado Christine Hakim is one of the companies in West Sumatra that provide halal label on their products. The problem in this thesis are, How is the halal labeling process for Keripik Balado Christine Hakim Companies in Padang, How MUI of Padang watch and manage the Christine Hakim company, What are the obstacles faced by MUI of Padang to control and organize halal labeling. This type of research is the juridical sociological. Data used are primary data and secondary data. Techniques of data collection through interviews and document study. Data were analyzed qualitatively. The research concluded that, Labeling halal beginning with SPP-IRT, and then issued the halal certificate, and obtained permission labeling of BPOM, The Control is done by the Auditor Halal Internal (AHI), which is owned by a company, an AHI reported results audit to LPPOM MUI once in six months, Obstacles encountered by AHI is a very small salary given by companies to the worker of AHI.
