ABSTRACT: The study aimed to
determine Catches on Sawaran at Semayang Lake Kota Bangun Subdistrict, Kutai
Kartanegara District. This study was done at Semayang Lake, Kota Bangun
Subdistrict Kutai Kartanegara District during three months from August 1st to
October 30th, 2014. During the study, 31 species was identified from 907
individuals, with total weight of 42.725 gr. The most species caught during the
study was 178 Repang (Osteochilus repang) with total weight 345,8 gr, and the
species with longest and the heaviest size was Stingray (Himantura signifer)
with a total length 83 cm and weight 16.500 gr. From the calculation result,
the highest relative abundance was Repang fish (Osteochilus repang) by 19,62 %,
while the lowest relative abundance went to Stingray (Himantura signifer) by
0,11 %. The diversity, the spread of individual of each species and the
stability were medium. The Uniformity 0,421 showed a range of close to 1 which
meant in a state of relatively stable and higher. The dominance of fish in the
catch on Sawaran at Semayang Lake showed a high dominance. CPUE (Catch Per Unit
Of Effort) on Sawaran on the average 4 –5 fish per hour.
