STUDI SPEKTROSKOPI INFRA MERAH KATALIS KOBALT (II) YANG DIAMOBILISASI PADA SILIKA MODIFIKASI

Abstract: A Synthetic process has been carried out for preparation of cobalt (II) grafted on modified silica and applied in transesterification  reaction.  First  step  was  a  modification  of  silika  support  with  anyline  and  bor  trifluoride  in toluene at room temperature. An acetonitrile solution of cobalt chloride then was added with the modified silika and refluxed at 70 oC for 2 hours. Product obtained was characterized with Fourier Transform Infra Red (FT-IR). In general  it  can  be  concluded  that  the  grafted  product  showed  the  formation  of  anylinium  species  wich  then consumed during grafting process due to its reaction with cobalt cation (FTIR analysis).
