SINTESIS NANOKOMPOSIT ZnO/ZnFe2O4 DAN APLIKASINYA UNTUK DEGRADASI ZAT WARNA DENGAN BANTUAN CAHAYA MATAHARI
Abstract: ZnO/ZnFe2O4 nanocomposite
had been synthesized
by sol-gel proccess
for ZnFe2O4 followed
by hydrothermal proccess for ZnO/ZnFe2O4. The obtained nanocomposites
were characterized by the X-ray
Diffraction (XRD), Scanning
Electron Microscopy-Energy Dispersive
X-ray (SEM-EDX), and Vibrating
Sampler Magnetometer (VSM).
XRD patterns of
the hexagonal ZnO
phase and cubic ZnFe2O4
phase with the
crystal size was
found in the
nanometer scale (29.3806
nm for ZnO
and 80.6549 nm for
ZnFe2O4) were identified.
SEM images of
ZnO/ZnFe2O4 (1: 0.05)
showed the homogeneous spherical
particles with particles
size between 71-104
nm. The magnetic
measurement showed that nanocomposite
was paramagnetic. The
photocatalytic activities of
nanocomposite evaluated
using methylene blue
under solar light
irradiation. The photocatalytic properties
of ZnO/ZnFe2O4 (1:0.05) were higher than ZnO.
