ISOLASI TERPENOID FRAKSI AKTIF ANTIOKSIDAN DARI DAUN ANDONG (Cordyline fruticosa [L.] A. Cheval)
Abstract: The isolation
of terpenoids from
Andong leaf extracts
has been done
by maceration method using n-hexane, etil acetate and
methanol solvents. The antioxidant properties of extracts from each solvent
were measured by DPPH method. Antioxidant activity (IC50) of each extracts
were: 134,09 mg/L; 86,378
mg/L and 86,815
mg/L for n-hexane,
etil acetate and
methanol respectively. Etil actate
extract had the
highest antioxidant activity
compared to others.
The extract of etil acetate was separated by colomn chromatography by
using silica gel as stationary phase
and n-hexane, etil
acetate and methanol
as mobile phase.
The chromatography process was
using Step Gradient
Polarity (SGP) method.
The result compunds
were white solid
form which gave single
stain for some
eluens in Thin
Layer Chromatography (TLC)
and having melting point at 124,7
to 125,9o C. The characterization of
isolate compound was done by using UV spectrophotometer, resulting that the
absorbant of isolate compound was at 200 nm, while Infra Red (IR) measurement
resulting wave numbers 3415,82 cm-1, 1636,53 cm-1, 2917,18 cm-1and 1375,16 cm-1
each for OH, alkene, C-H stretching and CH3 functional groups.
