SINTESIS NANOCLUSTERTiO2-SiO2/KITOSAN DENGAN PENAMBAHAN SURFAKTAN SDS

Abstract: TiO2-SiO2 compound  has  been  successfully  synthesized  by  using  sol-gel  method.  Some  process modification was done to get TiO2-SiO2 compound with different  morphologi character.  The purpose of  this  study  was  to  modify  the  morphology  through  the  addition  of  Sodium  Dodecyl  Sulfate (SDS)surfactant,chitosan.  Setting  the  temperature  and  calcination  time  variation.  Result  of  X-Ray Diffraction  (XRD),  Scanning  Electron  Microscopy  (SEM)  andFourier  Transform  Infrared  (FTIR) characterization  showed  that  morphologi  of  TiO2-SiO2  compound  changed  when  modified.  XRD analysis  showed  that  crystal  synthesis  and  size  of  TiO2-SiO2  influenced by someparametermodifications. FTIR spectrum investigated that there is Ti-O-Si, Ti-O-Ti, and Si-O-Si interaction  showed  in  400  cm-1concentration  of  chitosan  wave  number.  SEM  analysis  showed  the formation  of  pore  in  the  surface  with  20%,  SDS  20%  in  500oC  with  time  of  calcination  3  hours.  EDX analysis sowed that there is varied element composition in compound with synthesis method varied.
