ISOLASI DAN KARAKTERISASI SENYAWA TRITERPENOID DARI EKSTRAK KAYU SURIAN (Toona sinensis)
Abstract: Isolation and
characterization of triterpenoid
compounds from the
ethyl acetate extract
wood surian (Toona sinensis)
has been performed.
Extraction of wood
samples for the
work done by
maceration method using the
solvent hexane, ethyl
acetate and methanol.
Compound in ethyl
acetate extract was separated
using column chromatography and
chromatotron in SGP
(Step Gradients Polarity).
Isolated compounds in the
form of white
needle crystals with
a melting point
of 177-178 °C.
Thin layer chromatography test
gives a single red staining after revealed the Liebermann-Burchard reagent
(LB). UV spectra data provide absorption at a wavelength of 203.00 nm showed no
conjugated double bonds in the compound.
Infrared spectral data
provide some absorption
band is at
wave number 3448.09
cm-1 indicates the presence
of strain OH
supported by the
CO absorption at
wave number 1057.44
cm-1, at 2920.26 cm-1
known of the CH stretching,
at 1647.77 cm-1,
1559.68 cm-1 and
1458.07 cm-1 discovery
of a strain of
C = C
accumulated. Uptake triterpenoid
compounds are typical
of geminal dimethyl
peaks shown in wave
number 1376.05 cm-1.
The test results
showed that the
antioxidant ethyl acetate
and methanol extracts of wood surian active as an antioxidant with IC50
values of each 34.02 mg/L and 31.59 mg/L.
