ISOLASI DAN KARAKTERISASI SENYAWA TRITERPENOID DARI EKSTRAK ETIL ASETAT SAMBILOTO (Andrographis paniculata (Burm.f.) NEES)
Abstract: Isolation triterpenoid
compounds from plants
Bitter (Andrographis paniculata
(Burm.f.) Nees) has been
performed. Bitter powder
extracted by maceration
method using solvents
ethyl acetate. Ethyl acetate
extract column chromatography using silica gel as the stationary phase and
hexane : ethyl acetate as the mobile
phase in the SGP (Step Gradients Polarity). Isolated compounds in the form of
white crystals having
a melting point
of 130-131oC and
provide a single
stain in thin layer
chromatography elution. Based
on the test
Lieberman-Burchard reagent showed
reddish stain so isolated
compounds are triterpenoid
compounds. Anti-bacterial test
results show that crude
ethyl acetate and
compounds active against
the tested bacteria
Staphyloccocus aureus and Escherichia coli.
