PENAMBAHAN TEPUNG BUAH PAPAYA (Carica papaya) DALAM PAKAN TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN EFISIENSI PAKAN PADA IKAN NILA GIFT (Oreochromis sp) UKURAN 3-5 cm
ABSTRACT: This study aims to
determine the effect of flour papaya (Carica papaya) in feed on growth and feed
efficiency of Gift
Tilapia (Oreochromis sp).
This research was
carried out at
the Laboratory of Fish
Hatchery Faculty of
Fisheries and Marine
Sciences Mulawarman University,
for 3 months from preparation until execution. Gift tilapia seed with 3-5 cm size of 120
individual was obtained from Fish hetechery (BBI) Sebulu Tenggarong, maintained
in an 25 x 30 cm aquarium equipped wih
aeration. The water in the experiment container was siphoned every day as much
as 30 %, and every 2 days and replaced 70
%. This study used a completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments
and 3 replications. The treatment are P0 = (without papaya flour feed), P1 = (2
% flour papaya), P2 = (4 % flour papaya) dan P3 = (6 % flour papaya). The
results showed during the too feeding
using of papaya
fruit powder as
much as 2 %
in the feed
produced the best
effect on the growth of the length, weight and feed
efficiency of Gift Tilapia.
