lives, both from the point of political, economic, social, cultural,
environmental, and defense and security. Border regions include the boundaries

sovereignty. The borders of a country plays an important role in determining
the boundaries of sovereignty, natural resources, maintain the security and
territorial integrity. Determination of the state border in many ways
determined by historical processes, political, national and international laws.
In the constitution of a country is often also included the determination of
boundaries. thus in need of border management strategy and how to cope with
security in border areas
Some of the problems facing the border area, among others: First,
unresolved border agreements between countries, signs of physical damage to the
border and have not been properly socialized to limit state government
officials and the public. Second, the welfare gap, both economically and
socially. Third, broad and border regions away from the center of provincial
and district governments; accessibility limitations that made it difficult to
do coaching, supervision and security; Fourth, the uneven distribution of the
population with a low quality of human resources. This condition is exacerbated
by the exploitation of natural resources in particular uncontrolled legal and
illegal forest causing environmental damage. Weak law enforcement and economic
disparities between regions in countries bordering encourage illegal activities
in border areas such as trade, cross-border, illegal mining and logging.
