STRATEGI SINGAPORE TOURISM BOARD DALAM MENINGKATKAN KUNJUNGAN WISATAWAN ASAL INDONESIA KE SINGAPURA PASCA KRISIS GLOBAL TAHUN 2008

Abstract: The  purpose  of  this  research  is  to  explain  about  Singapore  Government Strategies  and  efforts  after  global  crisis  in  2008  in  increasing  tourism  visits especially from Indonesia through Singapore Tourism Board (STB). Singapore Tourism  Board is  a  government  agency  that  handling  tourism sector.  Crisis  in 2008  has  led  to  decline  in  the  tourist  arrivals,  so  that  the  government  has launched  several  programs  to  solve  the  problem.  The  programs  are  BOOST (Building  On  Opportunities  to  Strengthen  Tourism),  micro  site  and  city  brand “Your Singapore” and also has opened representative offices of STB in many countries in this case is in Indonesia. The results of this research are there has been  an  increasing  number  in  tourist  arrivals  from  Indonesia  and  also Singapore received many awards for tourism industry. It indicates that STB has been succees to manage tourism industry sector.
