Penerapan Metode Snowball Throwing untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Mata Pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) Materi Keberagaman Budaya Bangsaku (Studi Kasus: Siswa Kelas IV SDN 1 Peleyan Kecamatan Panarukan Semester II Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014)
Abstract: Research-based
classroom action research that aims to improve student learning outcomes
subjects of Social Sciences (IPS) material cultural diversity nation by
applying the method of snowball throwing in grade IV SDN 1 Peleyan District
Panarukan Second Semester Academic Year 2013/2014. The subjects were students
of class IV as many as 33 students consisting of 18 male students and 15 female
students. Techniques of data analysis method used is the result of observation
of teachers and students' activity is determined by calculating the scores
obtained in the observation sheet activities of teachers and students in the
learning process, the data analysis of the test results was determined by calculating
the data acquisition using the three domains of learning outcomes assessment,
namely cognitive assessment form daily test students' test results, assessment
of affective and psychomotor attitudes such scale in the form of test
performance (performance). The data collected in the form of (1) the
observation of the teacher and student learning activities during the
implementation process of learning; (2) the results of student learning through
daily tests in the form of cognitive assessment. This research was conducted by
2 cycles, each of which consists of four phases: planning, action, observation,
and reflection. The results showed that the learning outcomes of fourth grade
students of SDN 1 Peleyan District Panarukan increased this can be seen from
the increase in the percentage of student learning outcomes prasiklus (30%),
the first cycle (67%) and Cycle II (88%).
