Pengaruh Jenis Pelarut Pengektraksi Terhadap Kadar Sinensetin Dalam Ekstrak Daun Orthosiphon stamineus Benth.
ABSTRACT: Orthosiphon stamineus
Benth. is a
medicinal plant which
grown in Southest
Asia and cultivated
in Indonesia. The leaves of this plant are used by name of “kumis
kucing” in traditional medicine
as a diuretics, rheumatisme,
urinary tract infection,
kronic and acute
kidney infection and
billiary lithiasis. This study
was aimed to
determinate the content
of sinensetin on
varying hidroalcoholic eluent
(96%, 70%, 50% ethanol
and water). Analitytical
method for the
determination of sinensetin
using by a thin
layer chromatography-densitometry method.
TLC densitometry quantification is
performed by external standard on silica gel plates GF
254. Selectivity tested results that using chloroform-etyl acetate (15:1) as developing solvent
and UV detection
at 338 nm
(top peak), showed
a component of
sinensetin (Rfstd = 0,39;
Rf sampel=0,38) and
an identic spectra
(MF = 0,99817).
The %yield of
sinensetin in extract
from Orthosiphon stamineus Benth.
leaves on each
eluen were 1,9%
; 1,3%; 1,1%
and 0,3% (ethanol
96%, 70%, 50% and water ) respectively. The highest consentration of
sinensetin was in ethanol 96%. From the present study, it may be concluded that
ethanol 96% is the best eluent for manufacture of herbal medicine from
Orthosiphonis folium.
