PSIKODRAMA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN ADVERSITY INTELLIGENCE PADA PESERTA DIDIK KELAS XI MADRASAH ALIYAH NEGERI KARANGANYAR TAHUN AJARAN 2014/2015
ABSTRAK: Adversity
intelligence is an ability of dealing with life difficulties, new challenges,
and problems encountered so that an individual can achieve success. For the
students having low adversity intelligence, an attempt was taken to improve it
using group guiding with psychodrama technique.
This research aimed to study the effectiveness of psychodrama in improving
adversity intelligence in the eleventh graders of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (Public Islam Senior
High School) Karanganyar. This research was an experimental research with
quasi-experiment and non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group designs.
The subject of research was the students of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri
Karanganyar. They included 30 students: 15 in experiment and 15 in control
groups. The technique of selecting subject used was adversity intelligence
questionnaire organized referring to the aspects suggested by Stoltz (2003)
encompassing control, ownership, reach, and endurance.
The training to improve adversity intelligence employed psychodrama in
three repetitions. The data analysis was conducted using non-parametric
statistic technique with Wilcoxon and U Man Whitney tests with SPSS 16 help.
From the result of research, it could be found that Z statistic value was
4.184 higher than Ztable of 1.96 at significance value of 0.000. It indicated
that psychodrama was effective to improve adversity intelligence in the
eleventh graders of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Karanganyar.
