KEEFEKTIFAN LAYANAN BIMBINGAN KELOMPOK DENGAN SOSIODRAMA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN SOPAN SANTUN PADA PESERTA DIDIK KELASVIII SMP NEGERI 14 SURAKARTA TAHUN 2013/2014
ABSTRACT: This study aims at
determining the effectiveness of group counseling service with sociodrama
technique to increase students’ politeness in the eight grade of SMP Negeri 14
Surakarta in the academic year of 2013/2014.
This research is a PTBK (Guidance and Counseling Action Research). The
research was conducted in two cycles; each consisted of planning, action,
observation, and reflection stages. The subjects were the eight graders of SMP
Negeri 14 Surakarta, in total of 10 students. Source of data were derived from
the research subjects, peers, and BK teachers. The data were collected through
questionnaires and observation. The validity of the data was gained through
triangulation technique. The instrument used was questionnaire on Politeness.
The data were analyzed through quantitative and clinical analysis.
The result of the hypothesis analysis indicated that the score for
pre-test which is 43.6 increased to 57.2 (31.2%) in the first cycle, and it
significantly raised to 68.9 (58.0%) in the second cycle. Considering those
changes, it can be concluded that there is an increase on students’ politeness
after given treatment in the form of sociodrama technique. Thus, the research
suggests that sociodrama technique is effective to increase students’
politeness of the eighth grade of SMP Negeri 14 Surakarta.
