IMPLEMENTASI TEKNIK ROLE PLAYING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERBICARA DI DEPAN KELAS SISWA KELAS VIII SMP
ABSTRACT: The purpose of this
research and development is to improve the ability to speak in front of the
class, the results of this study are books implementation of role playing
techniques to improve the ability to speak in front of the class.
Implementation of research and development is an adaptation of the
concept of research and development Borg and Gall. Kegitatan research and
development activities through a preliminary study, planning and initial
product, validity concept test, practical test, the final product, and
effectiveness limited test. Product test subject is two experts from counseling
and three teachers Guidance and Counseling. The validity concept test and
practical test using the assessment validity test and practical test, the data
is then used to measure the feasibility of the product. The effectiveness
limited test subjects were 31 students of class VIII SMP. Data collection
techniques in effectiveness limited test using questionnaires ability to speak
in front of the class. The data were analyzed by t-test using SPSS 19.
The results of validity concept of implementations book role playing
techniques to improve the ability to speak in front of the class, get the
feasibility assessment of each expert by 77.86% and 79.95%, in order to obtain
an average of 78.91%. Test results with practitioners gain feasibility
assessment of each practitioner of 81.88%, 82.11%, and 78.76%, in order to
obtain an average of 80.92%.
Analysis of data on the limited effectiveness test showed that
thitung=5,604 and ttabel= 1,697 with a significance level of 0.05, then the
decision Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. It is known that there are differences
in the ability to speak in front of the class significantly between before and
after treatment.
Conclusion The results of this study are role playing techniques is
effective to improve the ability to speak in front of the class. This means
that products such as books implementation of role playing techniques to
improve the ability to speak in front of the class has met the feasibility
criteria based on validity concept test and practically test proven to be
effective to improve the ability to speak in front of a class of students of
class VIII SMP.
