TRANSPOR DAN PEMEKATAN FENOL MELALUI MEMBRAN KLOROFORM DENGAN METODA MEMBRAN CAIR FASA RUAH SECARA DINAMIS

Abstract: An investigation to study the transport of phenol through bulk liquid membrane with dynamic distribution of source phase concentration has been achieved. A solution of phenol (2.5 L; 20 ppm) was transported to a receiving phase of 25 mL NaOH 0.2 M. For 2 L phenol from source phase with concentration 100 ppm was transported to the receiving phase 21 mL thorugh 150 mL chloroform membrane. The same process also were done for the one with concentration of 200 and 300 ppm. To improve the dinamica of the transport process,  an aquarium pump with flux 125 mL/ minute was used. As the result, the remain phenol concentration in the source phase are found to be 45.8%,  62.7% and 85.6% for each phenol concentration 100, 200 and 300 ppm in 24 hours. A highly remaining amount of phenol in the  source phase showed that phenol concentration with bulk liquid membrane technique and dynamic source phase distribution was unsuccessfully done.
