PRODUKSI BIOGAS DARI LIMBAH PASAR DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN STARTER KOTORAN KUDA (EQQUS CABALLUS)
Abstract: Waste processing
into biogas is one solution to the garbage problem. In this study, the waste
processed is derived from Pasar Raya, Padang. By mixing the waste market and
horse manure can increase the C/N ratio of manure and the biogas production. A
variety of composition of manure (M) : waste of market (WM) is as follows 1:1,
1:2, 1:2.5, and 1:3. From these composition the C/N ratio will be respectively
22.62, 27.24, 29.55 and 31.86. The volume of biogas produced is measured every day. Optimum biogas
production obtained at M : WM (1:2.5) is 10.02 L. Thus, the methane content was
also measured by means absorption method after the purification of 0.5 M NaOH
and found to be 86.17%. From this work it was also obtained the total solid
(TS) for the initial mixture and slurry, and they are respectively 4.79% and
5.7%, while for the volatile solids (VS) obtained respectively 79.96% and
72.30%.
