PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIK SISWA DENGAN PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED INSTRUCTION
ABSTRACT: This research is
concerned with the implementation of Problem Based Instruction (PBI)
learning model in mathematics. It
is based on the reality that the
learning process that happened in the class still teacher centered.
The lackness of
students’ hands on
activities influence to
students’ problem solving ability. This
reaserch was held
on SMAN 3
Padang. Therefore, this research
is aimed to
know the increasing and the developing of students’
problem solving ability after implementing PBI model. It was pre-experiment research
with One Group
Pretest-Postest Design. The
sample was taken
by purposive sampling and the
choosen was students in class X.4 SMAN 3 Padang. The result of this research
describesthat the implementation of
PBI model increase
the students’ ability
in problem solving.
From data calculation it
is known that tcount=5,
62 > ttable=1 , 74 then
Hois rejected. It
means that students’ problem solving ability is
increased after implementing PBI model in learning process.
