Abstract: Student mathematics
understanding ability will be better if they find the concepts by their
self. By implementing the learning cycle
5E model with concept map, students can construct their knowledge and know the
relation of concepts. For that, it has to do the research in other to
mathematics understanding ability to students is better than previous. This
research is experiment research with Randomized Control Group Only Design. The
result of research shows that the mathematics understanding ability to students
with learning cycle 5E model is better than convensional learning model.
