MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP SISWA KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 2 PADANG PANJANG MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE THINK PAIR SHARE DISERTAI PETA PIKIRAN
Abstract: The mathematical
concept understanding of student in grade eight of SMPN 2 Padang Panjang in
academic year 2011/2012 is needed to be developed maximally. One of ways which
can increase student mathematical concept unnderstanding is the implementation
of Think Pair Share cooperative learning model with the use of mind map. The
purpose of this reseach is to describe wether student mathematical concept
understanding taught by Think Pair Share cooperative learning model with the
use of mind map better than student mathematical concept understanding taught by
direct intructional model. Design of this reseach is Randomized Control Group
Only Design with randomize sampling technique. VIIIB is selected as experiment
class and VIIIC is selected as control class. It is base on mathematical
concept understanding test result analysis and t’-test as hypothesis test,
showed that . It can be concluded that student’s mathematical concept
understanding taught by Think Pair Share cooperative learning model with the
use of mind map better than student’s mathematical concept understanding taught
by direct intructional model.
