PERANAN KONTROL DIRI TERHADAP PEMBELIAN IMPULSIF PADA REMAJA BERDASARKAN PERBEDAAN JENIS KELAMIN DI SAMARINDA
Abstract: Impulsive buying
is often associated
with purchases made
with a sudden and
unplanned, performed at the scene,
and with the
emergence of great encouragement
and scene of excitement and passionate. The existence of self-control makes
people able to
guide, direct and
regulate behavior strongly that ultimately lead to positive
consequences. This study aims to determine the role of
self-control on impulsive
buying based on
adolescent gender differences in
Samarinda.
This research was qualitative research, the research that seeks to depict
or describe the
objects to be
examined based on
the ground. Subjects
in this study were
beginning students of six people
including three girls
and three boys in the age
category 18 to 21 years old.
The results of
this study can
generally be seen
that self-control contributed to
impulsive buying based on teen sex differences. Young women often show
impulsive purchases like
buying and look
interesting items on display
in the window
when in a
shopping center, easily
distracted on the stimulus,
make a purchase
because they were
attracted to the
color of the goods,
the desire to follow
fashion, and indifference
to consequences, as well as
the inability to control themselves tend to
hesitate, never ignore
a stimulus that is
in a shopping
center, easily influenced
on information provided
by others and ultimately make
a purchase, as well
as a lack of
consideration and think about the impact. Young men did not do such
impulsive buying directly buy goods they
want and need
without doing things
that can influencing impulsive buying
and have self-control
is not easily
affected like others
talk, first asking friends
for advice on
consideration before making
a purchase, ignoring rebates
and free samples
are offered, and
advance thinking and judging about the usefulness of the goods
before making a purchase.
