HUBUNGAN ANTARA PERSEPSI TENTANG KARAKTERISTIK PEKERJAAN DENGAN PROKRASTINASI KERJA PEGAWAI NEGERI SIPIL

Abstract: This  research  is  statistic  descriptive  study,  which  relationship  between perception of job characteristics include as skills variety, task identity, task significancy, authonomy, and feedback with work procrastination. Perception about job characteristics is measured with five – dimension of job characteristics theory by Hackman and Oldham. Work Procrastination is measured by procrastination questioner based on Ferrari theory. The  research  included  51  empeloyee  civil  service  agency  in  Kerinci  Social,  Labor,  and Transmigration  Departement.  Sampling  taking  is  used  total  sampling.  Data  analyze technique is used Regression Analysis that helping SPSS.16 for windows. From research result,  the  conclusion  is  of  this  study  support  the  hypothesis  that  there  is  relationship between perception about job characteristics with work procrastination, This can be seen from  the  F  value  of  8.134  with  a  significance  level  of  95%.  Effective  contribution  of perception about job characteristics with work procrastination seen from the determinant coefficient (R2)=0,459 when seen from this model can explain 45.9% variation employee procrastination which means 54,1 % still influence by other factors.
