Perubahan Kualitas Hidup Ditinjau Dari Aspek Psikoseksual Pasca Histerektomi Total Abdominal
Abstract: The objective of
this prospective-descriptive study is to investigate the alterations of the
patient’s life quality viewed from their psychosexual profile after they had a
total abdominal hysterectomy. This study was conducted to 54 patients having
myoma uterine and later underwent a total abdominal hysterectomy with one
ovarium or two left behind. Froma set of data collected by using SF-36
questioner, the patient’s psychosexual profile after the total abdominal
hysterectomy was evaluated. The research setting was the Department of
Obstetric & Gynecology, Medical Faculty of Maranatha Christian University/Immanuel
Hospital, Bandung. The data, which were collected from 1 July to 31 March 2007,
show that most of the patients are 30-39 years old (66.7%); the percentage of
the patients having 3 children is the highest (40.7%); most of the patient’s
education level is elementary school (55.5%); and the patient’s social economic
level is medium (44.4%). The result of the data evaluation shows that there is a
tendency of life quality changes regarding the patient’s psychosexual profile.
It is concluded that the patient’s psychosexual profile tends to increase in
the fourth month after the surgery and keeps increasing until two moths later.
