ABSTRACT: Increased area
covered by pavement can cause the water to be a gathering time is much shorter,
so the accumulation of rain
water that accumulates
beyond the capacity
of existing drainage.
An attempt to anticipate
this situation, required
a high permeability
pavement for example
pervious concrete. Pervious concrete
can be made from concrete without coarse aggregate. Coarse aggregate from
Clereng, Kulonprogo and Merapi, Sleman used for this research. Ratio of
portland cement due coarse aggregate respectively 1:4.4 , 1:4,9, 1:5.8. Water
cement ratio was 0.4 and 0.5. Cylinder 150
mm in diameter
and 300 mm
in height used
for compression test.
Concrete permeability testing apparatus used for permeability test.
Pervious concrete with
a high permeability
can be made
from normal concrete
without fine aggregate. Clereng coarse
aggregate can produce
greater compression strength.
Compressive strength of
pervious concrete produced is less than 10 Mpa. Greater compression
strength produce by 0.4 water cement ratio. Better bonding strength of
aggregate and cement paste can increase compression strength.
