Perencanaan Runner dan Poros Turbin Cross Flow Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikro Hidro (PLTMH)
Abstract: Design of cross flow
turbine is a tangible manifestation of creativity and provide appropriate alternatives
for communities not reached by the State Electricity Company (PLN). Cross flow
turbine design begins with the measurement of water discharge, the length of
the carrier channel and the difference in height of water fall. From these
measurements can be determined diameter of the turbine runner and shaft.
Runners and shaft are made from carbon steel and S40C with the outside runner
diameter (Do) 200 mm, the inside runner diameter (Di) 130 mm, 28 of number of
blades, runner width (bo) 140 mm, 30 mm diameter shaft, and shaft length (ℓ),
342 mm. Making the runner and the shaft is done by the cutting process using a
light cutting, drilling machines and lathes. The principle works to change the
water potential energy to kinetic energy into mechanical work energy, rotating
the turbine and generator to produce electrical power a small scale.
