PENGARUH KONSENTRASI BAHAN PENGAWET MICROSIDA 100 EC DENGAN MEDIA PENGGORENGAN Crude Palm Oil (CPO) DAN SOLAR TERHADAP SIFAT FISIKA MEKANIKA ROTAN TONTO (Calamus optimus Becc)
Abstract: Natural rattan
products that stand out compared with other forest products, especially mechanical
properties, or elasticity after unencumbered right back in its original form
except that the quality of cane is determined by the flexibility, density and
color. To reduce drying time, especially on large-diameter rattan, in this case
including Tonto rattan, rattan processing is done in a skillet. Drying time
becomes shorter, ie 1-2 weeks after rattan fried and will reduce the intensity
of fungal and insect attack and to brighten the color of rattan. The purpose of
this study is to investigate the influence of the concentration of
preservatives microsida 100 EC and processing with a frying pan with the nature
of physics and mechanics Tonto rattan. Data analysis in this study using
Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Tonto cane water content treatment combination
of 1% concentration, frying pan with oil palm produces the smallest value of
13.65%, flexural strength rattan Tonto combined treatment of 5% concentration,
frying pan with oil palm produces the largest value is 15439.25 kg / cm2 ,
firmness broken rattan combined treatment of 5% concentration of Tonto skillet
with CPO, producing the highest value of 460.05 kg/cm2, the persistence of
plasticity rattan Tonto combined treatment of 5% concentration, frying pan with
oil palm yield the highest value of 234.35 kg/cm2.Retention is relatively small
due to the absorption of oil frying condoms and transverse direction to the
axis of the cane and occurs almost exclusively in the direction of the length
of the stem (longitudinal). Frying with broken Tonto PCO to produce the color
yellow, bright, fry slightly yellow Tonto with broken diesel fuel brightness.
