KUALITAS BRIKET ARANG DARI KOMBINASI KAYU BAKAU (Rhizophora mucronata Lamck) DAN KAYU RAMBAI (Sonneratia acida Linn) DENGAN BERBAGAI TEKANAN
Abstract: The purpose of this
study was to determine the extent to which the influence of the composition of
the mixture and Rambai charcoal of mangrove in the pressure of compression in
the quality of the resulting charcoal briquettes. The results showed that the content
of moisture, volatile matter, carbon residue, density and calorific value of
charcoal briquettes from a combination / mix of the average does not meet the
standards of Japanese, British, and American. For the calorie value only in the
treatment A1B2 and A2B1 that meet Japanese standards. This is due to the high
value of water content and thus affects the resulting low calorific value, the
results of research that has been done later proved that water content affects
the heat generated. Only for the content of ash resulting from the combination
mixture of wood and wood charcoal briquettes Mangrove Rambai that meet Japanese
standards between the range of 3-6%.
