SIFAT FISIKA DAN DIMENSI SERAT DUA JENIS KAYU BAKAU PADA BERBAGAI POSISI
Abstract: The purpose of this
study was to determine the physical properties and dimensions of wood fiber
from mangrove (Rhizophora spp) with a trunk diameter of about 10 cm - 15 cm,
located on the beach Pagatan Kusan Hilir District Tanah Bumbu, South
Kalimantan, and variations in the axial direction. The information obtained is
expected to be useful in the utilization of mangrove wood as a material optimal
mangrove pulp and paper industry. The average value of water content for this type of pendulum Mangroves
are fresh water content (53.22%), wet water content (53.27%), and air dry
moisture content (17.24%). While the value of average water content for these
types of Mangroves Nuts are fresh water content (56.62%), wet water content
(54.82%) and air dry moisture content (16.45%). While the average density for
this type of pendulum Mangroves are based on the volume of fresh (0.808), wet
volume (0.805), the volume of dry air (0.852), and the volume of dry kiln
(0.949), the average density for this type based on the volume of Mangrove Nuts
fresh (0.774), wet volume (0.777), the volume of dry air (0.812), and the
volume of dry kiln (0.889). The average weight of anything on the second volume
of tree species according to the classification of class forces including
strong class II (0.60 -0.90).
