KEMAMPUAN DAN POLA TANGKAP KANTONG SEMAR (NEPENTHES SP.) TERHADAP JENIS-JENIS SERANGGA PADA HUTAN KERANGAS
Abstract: Nepenthes spp. are
plant species which characterize kerangas forest. Its capability in catching and trapping insects
make the species often called the insectivourus species or pitcher plant. The aims of this study are to find out total
individuals of insect trapped by Nepenthes, catching pattern and identification
of insects species trapped by Nepenthes. There are variation in pocket size and
cacthing capability of Nepenthes sp. Avarage pocket diameter is 2,8 cm, avarage
pocket length is 11,9 cm, avarage pocket number in each species is 6 pockets,
range number of species trapped 1 – 4 species, range number of species trapped in
each pocket 1 – 88 individuals, range number of species trapped in each species
5 – 366 individuals. Ants of genus
formicidae are largets number of species trapped by Nepenthes sp. In this study, open and close pattern is not
found
