PENGARUH BUDAYA ORGANISASI, GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN, DAN MOTIVASI KERJA TERHADAP KINERJA DOSEN DI UNIVERSITAS SULTAN AGENG TIRTAYASA
Abstract: The topic of this
research is the influence of organizational culture, leadership style, and
working motivation to the performance of lecturers of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa
University. This research background covers a high interest of prospective
students in Untirta, limitations of study infrastructure which in turn hampers
the process of studying, and the changing status from private into public university.
All this matters oblige Untirta to improve its performance. In addition,
Untirta’s rank which is still below other public universities, and differences
of lecturers’performance between well established faculties and new faculties.
Therefore, the research question is how great amount of influence of
organizational culture to lecturers’ performance, how great amount of influence
of leadership style to lecturers’ performance, how great amount of influence of
working motivation to lecturers’ performance, and how great amount of influence
of those three previous variables to lecturers’ performance in Untirta. This
research is a quantitative model using survey method in order to make an
explanation. 444 permanent lecturers are this research population. Using Isaac
Michael with 10% precision and cluster area random sampling method, 168 persons
are the sample. Product moment correlation, double correlation, simple linear
and double regression are used to test the hypotheses. The statistic analysis
describes that there is a positive and significant correlation between
organizational culture and lecturers’ performance at 0,364 point. There is also
a positive and significant correlation between organizational culture and
lecturers’ performance at 0,20 point. However, there is not any correlation
between working motivation and lecturers’ performance. This matter is probably
because there is not any internal reward system and punishment mechanism
implied. Double correlation test shows that there is a significant influence of
organizational culture, leadership style, and working motivation, to lecturers’
performance in Untirta at 0,372 point. The implication of this research
suggests that a supportive organizational culture should be well maintained, an
internal reward system and effective punishment mechanism should be made and
well implemented.
