Kapabilitas Inovasi Dinas Pertanian Kabupaten Jombang dalam Program Pertanian Terpadu Guna Mewujudkan Ketahanan Pangan
Abstract: The availability of
adequate food and equitable for the entire population of the existence of any
food security. Issues of declining food security has already spread to all
corners of Indonesia, including Jombang distric. Agriculture development which
become the most strategic sectors to improve the food security is assessed is
still not showing maximum contribution. It is characterized by the presence of
instability in food production caused by some problems, such as the vast paddy
fields which narrows, declining soil fertility levels, etc. While population is
increasing every year that results the public food needs is also getting high.
Through the Department of Agriculture, Jombang Government create some
innovations in integrated farming programs. This innovation successfully
overcome existing problems of agriculture in Jombang. Success Department of
Agriculture in innovating can be explained through the concept of “innovation
capability”. With this concept can be known innovation capability ewned by
Department of Agriculture through dimensions and enablers that influence
innovation capabilities. This research uses qualitative research methods by
using the type a descriptive research. While the determination of informants
technique used purposive sampling technique which then evolve with used
snowball technique. Then the technique of collecting data using the way direct
observation, depth interviews, documentation, and also triangulation. Based on
the results of research, Department of Agriculture innovation capabilities can
be said to be good in supporting the success of innovation. It can be seen from
the dimensions that affect innovation capability of Jombang distric Department
of agriculture. In addition, changes of agrilcultural conditions before and
after implementing innovation toward better also can already be felt in
society.
