SINTESIS SURFAKTAN DIGLISERIDA DAN MONOGLISERIDA MELALUI REAKSI GLISEROLISIS METIL KAPRAT
Abstract: Synthesis of
diglyceride and monoglyceride by the glycerolysis reaction of methyl caprate.
The result showed that esther mixture consisted by monocaprylglycerol,
1,2-dicaprylglycerol and tricaprylglycerol. The 1,3 dicaprylglycerol and
monocaprylglycerol from mixture of esther compounds was dissociated by column
chromatography with eluent n-hexane:diethyl esther: formic acid = 8:2:0,2
(v/v). The result which in earing was analysed with FT-IR spectrophotometer and
1H-NMR. The result of separation using column chromatography after purity test
using TLC and Rf for monocaprylglycerol 0.40; 1,2-dicaprylglycerol 0.46;
1,3-dicaprylglycerol 0.78; tricaprylglycerol 0.85 and methyl caprate 0.91. the
FT-IR result for 1,2-dicaprylglycerol showed wave (cm-1): 3438.12 (OH);
2924.09-2854.65 (CH-Sp3); 1728.2 (C=O); 1458.18-1411.89 (methyl and methylene);
1280.73-1226-73 (C-O-C=O); 1033.89 (C-O); 710.85 (CH2)8 and 1H-NMR spectrum 1,3
dicaprylglycerol give the chemical shiff 0.9 ppm (CH3); 1.3 ppm (CH2)6; 2.4 ppm
(CH2); 3.5 ppm (OH). From the measeuring of HLB with titration method, monocaprylglycerol
HLB value is 13.06 and 1,3 dicaprylglycerol HLB value is 17.10.
