Prevalensi dan Derajat Infeksi Cacing Nematoda pada Saluran Pencernaan Monyet Ekor Panjang (Macaca fascicularis) di Taman Wisata Wendit Kabupaten Malang
Abstract: The aim of this
research is to study the prevalence and infection level of gastrointestinal
worm nematode on Macaca fascicularis in natural habitat breedingfacility, Taman
Wisata Wendit, Malang Regency. Forty fve fecal samples were collectedand
examined on March-June 2016. Parasitological examination used for the
identifcationof helminths such as native, sedimentation and floating methods,
worm eggs count pergram of faeces were examined using a modifed McMaster and
identify the egg types. Outof 45 fecal sample, 11 samples (24,44%) was
positively infected with intestinal worm, including one egg of Strongyloides
sp. The average number of egg per gram (EPG) was ranging from 10 to 50 EPG.
