Mengapa pengusaha online belum memiliki asuransi BPJS kesehatan? studi kasus di Kota Yogyakarta
Abstract: This study aims to
explore why informal sector group have notdecided to become a part of BPJS
health by identifying knowledge or health insurance literacy. Method: This is
qualitative research with phenomenology approach. Determination of informants
was used by snowball technique Data collection conducted with in-depth
interview as much as 15 people from online entrepreneurs group who live around
the city of Yogyakarta Data were identified with inductive thematic analysis
related to healthinsurance literacy to found relationship pattern of re search
variables Results: The majority informant have knowledge health insurance as a
health care program used to seek treatment when sick. Specifically, informants
havedifficulties in understanding and explaining the term ba sics about BPJS
health insurance such as membership type, premium, benefit package, services procedure,
the way of registration. The main determinant is caused by personal factors of
informants themselves who are not seeking information about BPJS health because
busy of works, still young, unmarried, and get il rarely. Another factor is
informants more often and rely on get insurance information from friends or
family, while information from the Governmenand BPJS organization itself is
very rare. Conclusion: Health literacy insurance low is the main cause why
informants decide not to be participants in BPJShealth insurance. So it’s
necessary to educate about the BPJS health insurance both from the government,
BPJS organization, and especiallyhealth providers in health facilities.
