HUBUNGAN KETERLIBATAN ORANG TUA, KOMITE SEKOLAH, DAN IKLIM KELAS YANG KONDUSIF TERHADAP KARAKTER DISIPLIN SISWA
Abstract: This study aims to
find a correlation between the involvement of parents, school committees, and
classroom climate conducive to student discipline. This research is motivated
that in an effort to internalize the character values of discipline in schools,
certainly many factors that influential among parents, the community's role in
this case the school committee, and also created a classroom climate.
This study is correlational research. In this study, there are four
variables: the involvement of parents, school committees, classroom climate (as
a free variable), and the student discipline (as dependent variable). The
population in this study are parents, school committees, teachers and students
at Muhammadiyah Sapen Elementary School in Yogyakarta. The sample was 92 people
for each population. Analysis of data using regression analysis.
The study's findings indicate that 1) the involvement of parents have
positively and significantly correlated at 0, 506 with the character of student
discipline, 2) involvement of school committees correlated positively and
significantly by 0.412 against the character of student discipline, 3) a
classroom climate that is conducive to have a positive correlation and
significant of 0, 428 with the character of the discipline, and the involvement
of parents, school committees, and classroom climate together have a positive
and significant correlation relationship at 40.8%. This figure is obtained from
the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.408. Based on the significant value
of F = 0.000 <0.05, it can be said that the involvement of parents,
classroom climate, and school committees jointly influence on the students'
discipline.
