PENOLAKAN SRI LANKA TERHADAP RESOLUSI UNHRC A/HRC/19/2 TAHUN 2012PASCA KONFLIK ETNIS 2009
Abstract: The focus of this
research is on the Rejection of Sri Lanka on UNHRC ResolutionA / HRC / 19/2
year 2012 After the Ethnic Conflict 2009 ". The purpose of this study is
to describe the reason for the rejection of the government of Sri Lanka on the
UNHRC resolution. This study uses qualitative data with descriptive method.
Sources of secondary data derived from books, journals, newspapers, magazines,
and the Internet.This study found that this long conflict caused a lot of civil society as the victims, then it took the attention of the United Nations and
deciding to call on the government to investigate the recent violence in
addition to human rights violations that occurred during the conflict. The
result of investigation showed there was human rights violations by the
government during the regaining of power
by the government of Sri Lanka so the United Nations announced the resolution
of A/ HRC/19/2, but the resolution was rejected by the Sri Lanka governance
with sovereignty as the reason.
