INTERVENSI AMERIKA SERIKAT DALAM PENANGANAN PEMBERONTAKAN AL-HOUTHI DI YAMAN TAHUN 2004 – 2014
Abstract: The present study
aims to find out and analyze Intervention done by the U.S. in resolving
Sa’dah’s rebellion in Yemen in 2004-2014. The present study uses descriptive
methodology which compares other studies similar and the intervention concept
with national interest concept provide an overview of analyze Intervention done
by the U.S. in resolving Sa’dah’s rebellion in Yemen in 2004-2014. Data
presented in this study is secondary data, which is obtained from literature
review, journals, articles, scientific writings, and internet access which are
deemed as relevant with the topic discussed in this study.The result of the
study shows that Intervention done by the U.S. in resolving Al-Houthi rebel in
Yemen in 2004-2014 indicates the importance of Yemen to the U.S. Yemen’s
strategic position gains U.S. attention to rule Yemen. Yemen is a country which
is located in international shipping channel, the Red Sea and Aden Gulf. If the
U.S. can rule the area for its interest, they can control cargo ships that pass
the areas according to their interest. In addition to the strategic position,
the U.S. also sees natural resources potentials that Yemen has. Yemen has
natural gas and oil reserves which will be lucrative if it is run properly
without conflict.
