PERAN PUSAT PELAYANAN TERPADU PEMBERDAYAAN PEREMPUAN DAN ANAK (P2TP2A) PROVINSI SUMATERA BARAT TERHADAP PERLINDUNGAN PEREMPUAN DAN ANAK KORBAN KEKERASAN DALAM RUMAH TANGGA

ABSTRACT: Women and children are often the victims of domestic violence (domestic violence) committed by the husband or his parents. The existence and role of Integrated Services Center for Women and Children (P2TP2A) West Sumatra by Decision of the Governor of West Sumatra Number. 260-134-2007, very helpful reinforcement of the victim to resolve the problem either in the law or not. The main issues discussed authors in writing this essay is: (1) the role P2TP2A West Sumatra province to provide protection to women and children victims of domestic violence, (2) what are the constraints experienced by P2TP2A West Sumatra province in providing protection to women and child victims of domestic violence. The method used is the author of sociological research. This sociological law research is a research collected primary data, primary data relevant to the problems by using data collection tools in the form of interviews and document study. The data obtained and analyzed through qualitative analysis. Based on the results of the study: (1) the role of institutions in the P2TP2A not give protection to women and children victims of domestic violence, including providing service complaints, provide medical rehabilitation services, provide legal assistance, (2) internal backwardly constraints (constraints that appear from P2TP2A institutions themselves) such as: the lack of a budget to run the operation, the lack of expertise or staff devotion. Second, some external constraints (constraints coming from outside P2TP2A) such as: lack of a response of law enforcement to victims of domestic violence.
