PENANGGULANGAN TINDAK PIDANA PEMBALAKAN LIAR OLEH DINAS KEHUTANAN DALAM RANGKA MELESTARIKAN FUNGSI LINGKUNGAN DI KABUPATEN MUARO BUNGO
Abstract: The criminal act of
illegal logging has been stipulated in Article 50 paragraph (3) of the Forestry
Law, and given criminal sanctions contained in article 73 paragraph (2), (3),
(4) and (5). Illegal logging causes forest damage is getting worse, especially
disruption of the balance of forest ecosystems and the local environment.
Governments in the district Muara Bungo seeks to tackle illegal logging
measures to protect the environment conservation in Indonesia, especially in
the district of Muara Bungo. Problem raised in this research : 1) How is the
implementation of the crime of illegal logging countermeasures by the Forest
Service in order to preserve the function of the environment in Muara Bungo
Regency ?, 2) What are the obstacles encountered on the implementation of the
Forest Service tackling the crime of illegal logging in order to preserve the
function environment in Muaro Bungo ?. This study used socio legal approach.
Data used include primary data and secondary data. Data were obtained through
interviews and document study. The data was analyzed qualitatively . It can be
concluded (1) implementation Counseling on society, (2) monitoring of forest
areas.
