IMPLEMENTATION OF TRAFFIC ACCIDENT POLICE INVESTIGATION IN PADANG PARIAMAN DISTRICT
ABSTRACT: Increasing number of
vehicles in Indonesia, the more increase the number of traffic accidents in
socicty activitis. Traffic accidents is a criminal offense, in which the
investigation based on the implementation of the Criminal Procedure Code
(KUHAP) and law No.22 of 2009. As for the formulation of the problem in this
study are: 1) How the implementation of traffic accident investigation in
Padang Pariaman district?. 2)What are the implementation constraints of
investigation of traffic accidents in Padang Pariaman district?. 3) How to
overcome obstacles in the implementation effort traffic accidents investigation
in Padang Pariaman district?. This study conducted by the socio-juridical
approach. The data used in this study is primary data and secondary data.
Primary data obtained from interviews and secondary data obtained by the study
of documents. The data were analyzed qualitatively. Based on this study, it can
be concludes that: 1) The implementation of traffic accident investigation in
Padang Pariaman district is passed in accordance with the legislataion in force
is based on the crimal justice system that is regulated in the Criminal
Procedure Code (KUHAP) and law No.22 0f 2009. 2) The constraints faced by
investigators is no or lack of witnesses and evidence and victim suspect both
died. 3) In overcoming these obstacles, the investigator made efforts to hold
back the crime scene, witness the search, held the tittle of the case,
coordinate with relevant agencies and conduct outreach.
