KANDUNGAN TEMBAGA (CU) DAN SENG (ZN) PADA IKAN MAS (Cyprinus commonio L.) DAN NILA (Oreochromis niloticus) YANG DIBUDIDAYAKAN DI KOLAM PASCA TAMBANG BATUBARA

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study was to determine the heavy metal content of Copper (Cu) and Zinc (Zn) in the flesh of carp and tilapia were cultured in post coal mine pond. Fish used in this study were carp and tilapia with average size of 7.5 cm each and average weight of 13.5 g each. The preparation of carp and tilapia was used with dry destruction method then the heavy metal contents of carp and tilapia detected using of AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer). The water quality was observed as a supporting data. The results showed that the flesh of carp and tilapia were containing of heavy of Cu and Zn. The highest Cu content in carp was 0.0008 mg / Kg and some of them were not detected. The highest Zn content was 0.1577 mg / Kg and lowest was 0.1062 mg / Kg. While on tilapia the highest Cu content was 3.0732 mg / Kg and lowest was 0.5317 mg / Kg, whereas at the other weeks were not detected. The highest Zn content was 0.1555 mg / Kg and lowest was 0.0731 mg / Kg. In the body of carp and tilapia there were the heavy metal content of Cu and Zn. Profile of highest heavy metal of copper (Cu) and Zinc (Zn) content in the flesh of carp and tilapia was fluctuated during the one-month cultivated period.
