SURVEY POTENSI PEMBANGKIT LISTRIK TENAGA MIKROHIDRO DI DESA BURNO, KECAMATAN SENDURO, KABUPATEN LUMAJANG
ABSTRACT: Electricity is the
most convenient form of energy is converted into heat, power motion, magnets,
etc.. Thus much electricity generated for consumption and industrial lighting.
Electrification in East Java has only reached 64.9% Households affordable by PLN
and most are in urban areas and most of the hamlet not electrified. Electricity
is also one of the primary needs of human life so we need a Power Plants
efficient. Therefore, it is necessary to have an alternative energy source to
solve the energy shortage. One of the alternative power source that can be
developed by utilizing the potential of water is micro hydro power plant.
Efforts to build a micro hydro power plant is a constructive effort to urge
people to care about the environment in real terms. Using water to turn a
turbine power plant, the water flow must be maintained. Maintain the quality of
the forest is the absolute choice for people around who use the forests to live
and expect electricity from micro-hydro. Keeping forests also means maintaining
water flow from the spring as a generator. Availability of water in the village
Burno - District Senduro - Lumajang possible to develop micro hydro power plant
(micro power). The plan of the area will take advantage of hydropower as a
source of electrical energy supply. From the above background, the water
potential survey was conducted to obtain data and information beginning
hydropower potential as a basis for planning and development of micro power.
This survey involves determining potential locations and measurements using the
global positioning system head brand Garmin GPSMAP 76CSx type. In addition to
using the altimeter, altitude difference measurement is also performed manually
using a tape measure with spirit level and string method. River water discharge
measurements carried out by measuring the speed of the river current using
devices or current propeller meters Flowatch brand. Micro power potential of
survey data in areas Burno - District Senduro - Lumajang can be known to have
the potential to be developed as an effective location of micro power
plants with a
head that can be
used is 8.3 meters with
a measurable discharge 0.383
m3/s so that the potential for hydraulic power possessed is 31.153 kW.
